LEGAL RIGHTS

• The freedom of religious belief is set out in Articles 2 & 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948.

• An expanded version in 1981 by the United Nations Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief.

• Article 18: "...Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom (either alone or in community with others in public or private) to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance." The United States of America subscribes to the United Nations and signed this Declaration

ARE YOU UNDER THE AGE OF 18?

• To our knowledge, we don't list groups that aren't run by adults (over 18). We also do not list groups that are run by adults but intended for minors unless they are under an organization like Spiral Scouts.

• Minors, please do not contact anyone listed on this site without getting the express permission of your legal guardian.

• Please note that most Wiccan Covens will not want to engage with you until you are at least 18, and most over the age of 21.

• There are groups that are oriented around Pagan family activities so please have your guardian reach out to groups that you can participate in with your family.
• There are groups run by adults specifically for children interested in Pagan activities. Please look into Spiral Scouts.

• The coven and group listings on these pages are presented as submitted, we do not know many of the groups that are represented here and cannot vouch for the legitimacy of their claims or their character.

• We encourage you to use your discretion when meeting strangers, and due diligence in researching the tradition and reputation of the leaders.

• Do background checks, google searches, social media searches, ask for vouches in public forums, if possible.

• Meet in a public place, preferably during the day. Listen to your gut, and leave a situation that you are uncomfortable in.

• We suggest you read this BLOG post PRIOR to meeting any possible teachers in person.

SPECIAL NOTE TO MINORITIES

• We encourage groups listing on this site to add in their profiles or websites their policies on inclusivity for marginalized groups, stating that they do not discriminate against race, sexuality, gender, disability etc.

• We ask groups to list their inclusivity so that seekers can find groups easily without feeling they will run into prejudice, but not all add that info in their profiles so please ask potential teachers if it is not obvious in their profile.

• If you are trans, non-binary, gay etc, and you are interviewing with an Initiatory Coven or Group we suggest you ask about that coven's policy for training and initiating people that fall outside of the binary. Know that if one group doesn't work for your life, there will hopefully be others that will fit you better.

REPORTING

• Coven conflict is up to Coven leaders and members to figure out. We do not get involved. This site is not judge, jury or executioner. We do not have trials here or deal in gossip.

• If you have some verifiable abuse or improper behavior that needs to be brought to my attention because a group is listed on our pages like, proven public records, associations with racist groups, etc. you can send me links to the necessary information.

• If you find that groups are inactive but still listed please contact here.

ARE YOU A LEADER WANTING TO POST YOUR INFO ON MANDRAGORA MAGIKA?

• We are happy to present these pages for covens, groups and organizations in the locations listed at no cost.

• We are a privately owned site and run this as a courtesy to those who want to post their info.

• The information on these pages is presented as submitted.

• We do not post individual personal profiles, this is strictly for Groups that are run by leaders.

• We do not vouch for the claims of initiations, traditions or anything anyone posts. However if it comes to our attention that you misrepresent yourself as a tradition that you were not actually initiated into, your profile will be removed.

• We do not know many of the groups or leaders that are represented here.

• Seekers who feel that their consent or rights have been violated will be heard here if such things occur.

• We only remove groups if serious verifiable allegations or warnings are brought to our attention such as oathbreaking, sexual abuse of students, discrimination etc. In circumstances of abuse, consent or disclosure violations we will always hear the victim and group profiles will be removed.

• We do not list people that have proven public records dealing with abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse etc.

• We do not list group profiles that put down other pagan traditions. Use language that respects other people's paths.

• Because the site is run by one individual I do not have the time to investigate accusations so for the sake of safety for seekers, groups will simply be deleted if some form of proof can be provided.

• We will do our best to help students find legitimate groups of good standing, but do encourage all seekers to be diligent in researching the tradition and reputations of their possible teachers.

• When writing your profile, consider adding your groups level of inclusivity to let people of color, gay, and trans know that your group is a safe place for them.

• Groups that have racist ideologies need not list and will be removed if it comes to my attention.

• Profiles will be removed if your email does not work. If your website link is inactive it will be removed.

• We do not currently list groups unless the leaders are over the age of 18. We also do not list groups that are run by adults but intended for minors unless they are under an organization like Spiral Scouts.

KEEPING YOUR PROFILE ACTIVE

• Please keep your profile up to date, a date is added to each profile of last update. If your profile becomes 2 years old without update it will be removed and you can resubmit.

• Emails will be sent to your email address, if they are returned and your email goes inactive your profile will be removed. You can resubmit with current info.

• If you have a website listed and it becomes inactive the links will be removed.

• FOR BUSINESS PROFILES: If you go out of business please let us know so we can remove your profile.

USE OF SITE​

• Do not harvest emails from this site! If you spam users from this site with Events, Meetings, etc. you will be banned from using the site's functions. Please use the proper pages to list your events and reach out to us if you'd like us to promote via social media.
