Our Witch House is a part of the Faery/Old Feri Tradition, a queerly American, ecstatic, animist, and sorcerous initiatory Mystery tradition that is centered around the embodied and sensuous expression of the Otherworld. We celebrate the divine human animal and our co-reliance and inter-dependence with the bioregion as the mythic Landscape whose interior is inhabited by countless spiritual forces and beings to whom we seek to ally ourselves. Our thread is syncretic and heuristic, guided by folklore and woven into a deep relationship with the Hidden Company among whom number our Mighty Dead, the Land-Wights and the Fae, our Familiars and Fetch Mates, and our Eldritch Gods.

Our practice emerges as the celebration of the cycles and rhythms of the seasons and the happenings in Land, Sea, and Sky: being caught up in the Flight of the Soul from the body over the Hedge, shape-shifting, surrender to the river of dreaming, thaumaturgy, making pacts and maintaining relationships with spirits, dinvation, acting as oracles, healing and hexing, guardianship and attention to the ecology of the Land, wortcunning and herbcraft, the making of charms and potions, necromantic seership, divine possession, and erotic congress.

At the core of our witchery is the ancient Faerie Faith, a religion of animism and co-reliance with the forces of the Wild, and the veneration of the Mighty Dead and the Others as exemplars of the Way to henosis and ultimately apotheosis. For all these strange happenings and nameless acts are aimed at opening the Crooked Path to the Eternal Sabbat where we imbibe Wisdom and forge a Self that is in union with Fate, whom we reverence as the Supreme Goddess who weaves reality in the Starry Depths and dances the Elemental Round of the Compass.

We see Faery as a crooked way wound with both thorns and roses, and the relationship with our gods as the writhing of the spotted serpent that is this winding road.

We are a small coven recently relocated/transplanted to the area. Our great goal is to foster Paradise-on-Earth, and open the Rose Bower within the Oasis. Our Witch House is a place where the marketplace world of mankind (where everything is for sale, trade, or theft) can be washed off of us, and we can nourish, support, love, and heal from this wounding culture within a container that celebrates our unique natures as witches.

There are a couple of parts to the group, the larger community section where we host potlucks for those of any tradition or just curious to come and commune with the community, but then there is the side that is more Wicca based. There is a significant library of books, but we do not yet have a public space to house them and do not yet lend them out. Those are long-term goals. We hosted Morgantown Pagan Pride Day for 10 years and prided ourselves on having different traditions performing rituals each year.
